Nicholas Losito is entering his 6th year as a classroom teacher, specifically in the area of middle school mathematics. He is a passionate educator and coach who values strong work ethic and productive struggle. Originally from Port Jefferson Station on Long Island, Losito graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Inclusive Special education as well as a scholarship recipient for Cortland’s Urban Recruitment of Educators. These experiences have given Losito a strong foundation towards being an equitable educator. Before coming to NCS Harlem, Losito has experience teaching in Southold, NY , Newark, NJ as well as the South Bronx, NY. He is a self proclaimed Urban Educator who seeks social justice and opportunity for his students. He also is currently in the process of getting his Masters Degree in Math Leadership at Bank Street College. Athletic coaching experience with varsity basketball & rugby, as well as roller hockey.
