Michael Renda

Michael Renda is the Principal of Neighborhood Charter School: Harlem. He has been with the school since 2012 beginning as a kindergarten and first grade science teacher. He has served as the Assistant Principal for the last three years.

Mr. Renda is from Long Island where he began his career teaching seventh and eighth grade social studies at middle schools in both Massapequa and Commack, NY. Mr. Renda earned a Government and Politics degree at St. Johns University in Jamaica, Queens. Soon after, he earned his Master of Science in Education from Hofstra University.

Mr. Renda is currently working towards his second master’s degree at City College. On the weekends, he can be found enjoying time with his family and running through Central Park.
