Assistant Principal (K-3)

Amy Young started her educational career in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2008. Since then, she has taught first, sixth, and eighth grades. Ms. Young has experience in school operations, as a Lead Teacher, a Dean of Students, and as an Assistant Principal. Ms. Young holds a Bachelors of Art in Psychology from Barnard College. Ms. Young has spent the past ten years advocating for children across the country to have fair and equal access to quality public education – for she believes it is the ultimate civil right and the only true equalizer in life. She is excited to bring her experiences and passion for learning to the Neighborhood Charter School:Bronx family beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.
