“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”” -
Alisha Workman, Middle School Counselor, is excited to join the NCSH team! Her passion has always been children and education. While in school working toward her B.A. she worked with children from birth to 12 years old in the early childhood and after school/summer camp setting. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CUNY York College. After that she went on to obtain her M.S. Ed in School Counseling. Alisha was born and raised and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with her 2-year-old son James and Fiance Max. She believes that her experience as an inner-city student herself, gives her a great perspective of what students need to be successful! Alisha’s dream is that she can work with students that will one day be the future doctor’s, lawyer’s, judge’s, etc. that make a difference in the communities that they grew up, were educated, and live in.
