Downey Tang is originally from Xinjiang, China. Downey worked with Teach for China as both a teaching fellow and an education program manager before moving to the US in 2015, where he gained a different perspective thinking about the impact of education. Downey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and earned a Master of law in China. He has focused his entire career on the education non-profit sectors; education has always been his primary passion. After obtaining an MBA degree from George Washington University, he decided to continue to pursue his passion and leverage his background and experience to bring a larger impact on students and help them reach their potential. Downey is a big fan of using data powered tools and enjoys learning different analytic frameworks to construct strategic insights. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and painting Chinese traditional ink painting.
