Brett Gallini is the Executive Director of Neighborhood Charter Schools, which encompasses Neighborhood Charter School: Harlem and Neighborhood Charter School: Bronx. As the Executive Director, Mr. Gallini leads a network of talented individuals who both support the growth of NCSH through eighth grade and oversee the construction of NCSH’s permanent home on St. Nicholas Avenue. Further, Mr. Gallini designs policies to ensure the success of NCS’s expansion into two high-achieving K-8 schools serving over 1,300 students across two boroughs in New York City.
Prior to the role of Executive Director, Mr. Gallini was the founding principal of Neighborhood Charter School: Harlem. His career as an educator began nearly two decades ago as a fifth-grade teacher in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Gallini has held multiple positions in public education including teacher, staff developer, Director at the New York City Department of Education’s central office, and principalships at two schools prior to his arrival at NCSH.
Mr. Gallini holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Education and recently completed the coursework for his Doctorate Degree in Urban Education at Fordham University. His area of research is emotional support for school leaders. Currently, he is writing his dissertation. Mr. Gallini lives in Manhattan. He enjoys traveling, running, exploring NYC restaurants and taking care of his new rescue puppy, Mikey.
